Los Angeles Haunted Hayride 2014 Review
The Haunted Hayride this year is bigger and better than ever before! The hayride itself is about a 25 minute long ride filled with monsters waiting to pop out from the dark corners of the old zoo and scare the living hell out of you. The Haunted Hayride has a brilliant creative team and is never scared to push the concept to the next level. With huge puppets coming at you, creative scareactors, and monsters jumping out of the darkness you are in for a terrifying ride. The environment is set perfectly on the Haunted Hayride with dark and creepylighting. The Haunted Hayride is known for being good at the little details and that also applies to their scareactors. For example, the moment the hayride pulls away from a scene, if you happen to look back you will see all the scareactors together starring at you until the hayride is gone and not breaking out of character.
Along with the Haunted Hayride you can experience several attractions including the Seven Sins sideshow, which is a new addition this year. The Seven Sins sideshow puts a modern twist on the seven deadly sins as you see scareactors perform each of sins in seven different rooms. The acting is top notch and we enjoyed it this year. The In Between Dark Maze is back this year, which involves you and your group to find a way out of the maze using one little lantern in the darkness. It took us a while to get out of the maze and it was scary at the start but then things got a bit confusing when we bumped into other groups. Overall it was a fun maze to go though but maybe the groups should be smaller to make it scarier. This years event has a lot of new sets and Haunted Hayride is trying new methods to scare you and its definitely a must visit before the season is over.
