Universal Studios Hollywood Unleashes Halloween Horror Nights 2023
Universal Studios Hollywood kicked off the eagerly awaited Halloween season with the spine-tingling launch of Halloween Horror Nights. The event promises 38 nights of pure fright, featuring a lineup of eight horrifying haunted houses, three spine-tingling scare zones, two immersive live experiences, and the ever-popular Terror Tram. Running from September 8th to October 31st, 2023, Halloween Horror Nights is set to provide visitors with unparalleled thrills and chills.

This year's Halloween Horror Nights boasts a diverse and thrilling lineup that caters to fans of horror in all its forms:
"The Last of Us": Dive into the post-pandemic world of Naughty Dog and PlayStation's award-winning video game. Join Joel and Ellie as they navigate an overgrown Pittsburgh and confront menacing adversaries like Clickers and Hunters.
"Stranger Things 4": Netflix's hit series takes center stage with its fourth season. Visitors will find themselves transported to Hawkins, Indiana, where they face off against Vecna, a new villain determined to unleash chaos between the Upside Down and the real world.
"The Exorcist: Believer": Inspired by Universal Pictures' new horror film, this haunted experience delves into the terrors brought to life by Blumhouse and Morgan Creek Entertainment.
"Universal Monsters: Unmasked": Witness horror icons like The Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame coming together for the first time in a chilling new narrative. The attraction features an original score by GRAMMY® Award-winning musician SLASH.
"Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count": Inspired by the beloved series and cult-classic films, this attraction showcases Chucky's most infamous kills throughout the franchise.
"Evil Dead Rise": Immerse yourself in a new tale from the Evil Dead universe, based on New Line Cinema's 2023 box office hit.
"Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America": Encounter the most terrifying ghosts and creatures from Latin American folklore.
"Holidayz in Hell": Brace yourself for a terrifying journey through a series of psychotic seasonal celebrations.
"Terror Tram…The Exterminatorz": Venture into the Universal backlot to face an insect uprising led by the devious Larry Larva, with unexpected crossovers from director Jordan Peele's "Nope" and "Us."
"Blumhouse: Behind the Screams": This unique experience offers a close look at Blumhouse horror films, including "Five Nights at Freddy’s" and "The Exorcist: Believer," featuring authentic film props, costume displays, and terrifying character encounters.
"The Purge: Dangerous Waters": The blockbuster film franchise takes to the open waters in a thrilling live show that promises adrenaline-pumping action, stunts, spectacular effects, and explosions.
Guests will navigate the darkness through three chilling scare zones:
"El Terror de las Momias": An extension of the "Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America" haunted house, this Latin-themed scare zone challenges visitors to escape an ancient army of unearthed mummies.
"Toyz": In this scare zone on New York Street, a wicked toymaker brings evil toys to life with dark magic.
"Ghostz": A horde of blood-soaked, chainsaw-wielding ghosts gathers at the entrance to Halloween Horror Nights to send shivers down your spine.
Attractions and Wizarding World:
While Halloween Horror Nights takes center stage, select theme park attractions like "Jurassic World—The Ride," "Transformers™: The Ride-3D," "Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride," and "The Simpsons Ride.™" remain open for guests. Plus, fans of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™" can enjoy their favorite attractions and encounter Death Eaters™ roaming Hogsmeade™ village during the event.
